Lani's Story...
When we see a "free puppies" sign, our heart sinks. Lani and her littermates were being handed out to anyone who'd take them in a Walmart parking lot. We knew their fate should be more carefully decided so we took the ones who hadn't been given away.

They've been checked out and are healthy and good to go. They're now up-to-date on vaccinations too. They were born around the beginning of May. We have no idea what breed mix the pups are. Judging from their current size, they should grow into small or medium-small dogs.

The puppies are well adjusted and outgoing. They love to play with each other and love to be held. No matter what their heritage, they're adorable!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lani, a Marietta Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
