LOUIE's Story...
Louie is just cute as can be. This was his first time outside since he has been at the shelter and he loved it. He has been shaved into a really cute lions cut. He knows sit but does not stay for very long, too much to explore! He is quiet and well behaved in his cage. Louie arrived at the shelter as a stray on 6/23/14 and no one came to find him. He is up to date on shots, and will be neutered, and microchipped when adopted. His ID is 566985, he is in cage 318 in the Puppy Room, is 5 years old and weighs 23 lbs. Hurry over to meet him, he will likely be adopted right away! Sadly he has tested positive for heartworms, but with treatment he should be good as new in no time. Please speak to your vet for treatment options.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LOUIE, a Marietta Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
