Chip's Story...
If you would like more information about Chip or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to: or call 281-639-3610

There were some unfortunate circumstances surrounding Chip’s rescue. Chip ran out in the street and was hit by the rescuer’s car. She rushed him to the vet, where it was found his left shoulder was fractured. Although the rescuer obtained the owner’s information, the owner did not claim Chip. The rescuer paid all the vet bills, had Chip vaccinated and took him home to care for him. His shoulder has healed completely; you wouldn’t even know he had been injured. Chip is still young and is an active dog. He’s very friendly and good with both cats and kids. Although Chip is very lovable, the rescuer has several animals already and cannot keep him. She would like to find him a good, loving, forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Houston Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
