Emmy's Story...
Hi, I am Emmy. I was a happy kitten until my family decided to get rid of me. I ended up in a hoarders house, but an angel came and took me away. I am a loving girl and all I want is a happy family again. I like to be near you at all times and I guess you can call me a love bug. I do love to climb the cat tree and have foster siblings, so am used to other cats. I would love to have a home and family of my own...won't you come meet me?

Emerald has the greenest eyes and very translucent coat. Her coat looks like she glows and her pictures do not do her justice.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy, a Tampa American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
