Alvin is a very affectionate boy that is looking for a forever home. He is a 34-lb fluff ball that loves to sit in your lap! His other favorite thing is taking walks. He will look for the leash when you get home and will be ready to go. Alvin is so much fun to explore with. He does fabulously meeting new people and is sure to be a hit in the neighborhood. Alvin gets along fine with other dogs but is not a romp and run and play dog. He would rather take a nice long walk and curl up with his family in the den. Alvin is quiet in his crate and is housebroken. He is mindful and obedient. He gets along well with cats and children. Alvin was abandoned at his home when his human mother had to move quickly to a nursing facility. Neighbors reached out to us for help as they did not want this sweet boy to end up at a shelter. Alvin is 3 years old and is up to date on all of his shots, including rabies. He has been neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. We have an adoption center in downtown Mocksville and are there by appointment only. We can typically meet families any day of the week between noon and 4 pm or after 7 pm. Holidays are fine.
