Sandy's Story...
Name: Sandy
Breed: Border Collie
Age: Mature Adult
Gender: Female

Sandy is a middle aged (8 years young) female Border Collie, and this dog LIVES to fetch. She will fetch all day, catches in the air and uses her nose to nudge it cutely closer to you for throwing. Sandy came to us when her owner passed away, and the training and love clearly show. She's very reliably house trained, used to kids, cats and dogs, not a chewer or barker, and reliable off leash. She is regrowing some hair on her back after a severe flea infestation that's been treated, but is otherwise a healthy dog. She walks well on the leash, is affectionate, and has more personality than just about any dog we've seen. If you like a dog to be highly interactive and one who will happily fetch items all day, she's your girl!

Requirements: No special requirements

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Minneapolis Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
