Freya's Story...
Hi, hello. . .can I sit in your lap. . .pretty pwease. I love to snuggle, don''t you? My name is Freya and I'm a 1 yr old cattle dog/ lab mix. I am already spayed and I have beautiful black and white markings, oh, and I only have a nub for a tail. Goodness, I'm so happy that the nice lady found me and brought me to the shelter. I was lost, hungry and out in the world all by myself. My friends here call me submissive, do you know what that means? I'm not really sure either, but when I drop on my back and give them sad eyes, they all say awwww. Don't tell them this, but I love the attention that they give when I roll over and a girl has to do what she needs to, ya' know. Please come visit me. We could hang out, have fun with toys and then you can hold me, ok?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freya, a Murphysboro Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
