Hap's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hap's Story...
Hap is still in LA but can be easily transported up to the Northeast using www.rescueroadtrips.com
Our adoption fee is $250 and the fee to transport to the Northeast is $185. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption.
Hap is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.

Here is a write up from his rescuer:

Hap is about 11 months old and was homeless! He was abandoned when a large company bought the property where his people lived. They could not bring him and his brother along on the sudden move, so were left to care for themselves. One of our dedicated volunteers fed them for 6 months before she could earn their trust. Once in the care of a foster, Hap has shown his playful, loving nature. He loves to fetch and chase his doggie friends. Hap has been around cats and is fine with children. He will need a fenced yard, since the Beagle in him tends to enjoy following his nose. He is crate trained and working on housetraining, is current on shots, neutered and anxious to find his own home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hap, a Folsom Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Folsom, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Folsom.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Folsom already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Folsom breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Folsom paves the way for another one to be saved.
