My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie is a great example of why people love Labradoodles. She's a gorgeous girl with cottony-soft hair that frames her sweet face. At 9 months old and currently 17 lbs (could be about 25 lbs when full-grown and filled out), she is an extremely loyal and loving pup who is learning new lessons about the world every day (thanks to the vigilance of her foster mom). Annie displayed her devotion when she was found with her deceased mom after 4 days without food or water. Annie's gift of love and loyalty was stronger than her desire to keep herself alive. Annie's foster has turned this amazing being over to Farfel's Rescue to find the perfect family to love and nurture Annie while creating clear boundaries through a positive training regiment. Annie's current mom had the following to say about the personality traits of this sweet Doodle:
Annie displays the following personality tendencies:
Loveable, very intelligent, responsive, affectionate, funny/silly, playful and truly wants to please. Annie will play fetch (she is after all half Retriever)..every time you toss a toy, she will happily return it. It's a great form of exercise for her and fun for me as well. Annie is quiet and calm most of the time when I'm with her in my apartment. She responds well to correction and wants to do well with her whole heart. The challenge for Annie is when I leave her at home alone..she's devastated! She needs a family that chooses to spend their time with this sweet companion and use patience and training to teach Annie that she doesn't need to panic...they won't abandon her. It's understandable that Annie developed these fears after her experience...and therefore her need for an understanding family and an astute, positive trainer to help her know she's safe when she's alone. In return, Annie gives of herself 1000%...tons of hugs, kisses and silly antics.
Once Annie bonds, there is nothing in the world that will pull her away from her person or family. Her love and gratitude boils over when she knows she's accepted for the sweet being she is. Annie would be so happy with a family that includes her on hikes, camping and backpacking trips or just a walk around the neighborhood...or better yet, a free and joyous run in a safe area. She runs like the wind and is far happier with the benefit of physical exercise and mental stimulation.
Annie appears to have gotten the Poodle gene and is therefore a non-shedder. Her cotton-soft hair resembles that of a Poodle far more than a Lab. She will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her silky coat healthy and matt-free.

Annie is currently living in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted and Meet and Greets are being set up for this exceptional and loving companion.
