Sundance's Story...
Meet Sundance. Yep, that’s right, The Sundance Kid. He is a beautiful yellow lab that is an absolute sweetheart!! This is a seriously great dog!! He is a mellow, sweet pup, with a gentle spirit, that is around 18 months old. He adores kids and does great around other dogs. He was tested around cats and did fine; he just ignored them, walked right by them and laid down. He loves cuddling and would make a great, loyal companion for anyone- he really loves his people, especially children of all ages!! He loves to climb up beside them and will lay his head in their lap and give a big contented sigh. Sundance does great on a leash and travels well in the car. He just wants somebody to love. Are you that somebody? If you would like to meet Sundance and talk to his foster mom, please email info@forrescue.net. You may also complete an application at http//forrescue.net/dog-application. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sundance, a Homewood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
