My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deboe is a very handsome blue/rust male Doberman. He has an amazing dark blue coat, natural ears and a docked tail. Deboe is almost 2 years old and weighs 75-80 pounds. Although Deboe is his given name, his foster family calls him Sterling Bear and Bear Bear because of his loveable and teddy bear nature. Deboe is a bit unsure in new environments but once he knows you, he is a true Velcro dog that enjoys being around his humans and will lie at your feet to take an afternoon nap or to watch you do chores in the kitchen. He gets so excited when he sees you that he wiggles his nub so fast that his entire body moves from side to side. He is an active boy who loves to play ball and run around the yard so a fenced yard is a must for Deboe. Deboe also loves his rope toys and chewing on antlers. He is good on a leash and enjoys taking long walks with his people. Deboe rides well in a car and is house and crate trained. Like most dobes, he responds well to a structured environment where he understands what is expected of him. In his foster home he has learned sit, down, stay, watch me, off and will sit and wait until released to eat his food. Deboe is good with other dogs and would enjoy having a nice female doggie buddy to play with but he would be ok as an only dog as well. Deboe is good with kids and would be fine in a home with older kids (12 and up) who would be comfortable around an active young dobe. We don’t know how he is with cats but since he likes to chase squirrels and other small animals he may not do well in a cat household. Deboe is looking for an active owner who would make sure he gets the regular, vigorous exercise a young Doberman needs.
