My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macie is most likely a Chihuahua / dachshund mix AKA chiweenie! She is approximately 2 years old and is a little tiny girl, weighing only about 6-7 lbs. She is white and orange/chestnut with freckled skin. She has *EARS* for days. She is a sweet, playful little girl with lots of love to give. She absolutely loves going to the dog park and hanging out with her foster mom.

Macie was found in the fifth ward lying next to a car in a carport. We thought she was dead when we spotted her, but she lifted her head as we approached. She was so anemic from several parasites and a severe case of mange. She looked like she had been burned. It took Macie's skin a while to heal from the infection, but now she is all healed up and her fur has grown in beautifully.

There is a Great Dane as well as two kitties in Macie's foster home that she plays great with, so she is dog and kitty-friendly. She is house-trained and crate-trained, spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and is ready to find her forever family. She will fit perfectly in your lap!
