My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7/8/08 Alex is here in Maine and doing great. He is such a wonderful little guy that is so friendly and sweet. He would do best in a quieter home without alot of commotion but will be the best buddy to that special family.
6/4/08 Alex is just about done his heartwrom treatment and will be ready to come north to find a home he can call his. He is very sweet little guy that would prefer a calmer home. He loves all people and has done well with other dogs in his Southern foster home. Can you please help him by fostering him so we can get north to safety?
3/25/08 Alex has tested heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment in the south before he can come north. He will be available close to the warmer months, a great time to add a new family member to your home. Please consider sponsoring his heartworm treatment by clicking on the "donate" button below.

3/14/08 Well, it turns out Ava is really Alex, a male beagle! He still needs a home to go to.

2/23/08: This is a sweet little Beagle, Ava, that was found running with her buddy, Eva, at a Cemetery in Arkansas. Ava is a little more shy, and older than her friend Eva thought we're not sure how old at this time. We aren't sure if they were dumped there or if they ran away together. Nevertheless, they really need to get out of the shelter. A foster home would be fantastic in the meantime while we search for a wonderful new home.
