Charles is new to DREAM so please stay tuned as we get to know more about him. So far, we know he's a senior somewhere between 10 & 14 yrs old, weighs ~15 lbs, is super duper sweet & is a great little cuddler. He's considered a shaded cream smooth coat. He's crate trained & house trained & gets along fabulously with other dogs both big & small. As a senior, he's just looking for a comfy home where he can lounge away the day. And don't let his senior status fool you, he's got plenty of days left.

If you are interested in adopting Charles, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to Charles 's adoption fee is $250. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Charles will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.

About DREAM Dachshund Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We envision a time when every dachshund in Georgia has a loving home for its entire life. We believe that the welfare of our companion animals is an indication of the health of our society. We see the current welfare of our companion animals as a disease. To treat the symptoms of this disease, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dachshunds in need. To treat the causes of this disease, we educate the public on compassionate dog guardianship of any breed. We want to have a deep, direct impact in a limited geographic area, rather than a small impact in a large geographic area.
