Toby's Story...
Pleasure to meet you! I'm an easy-going, but very shy Southern gentleman looking for someone to share my life with. Life hasn't always been kind to me, so fast movements can be a little scary for me. But, I still have hope that people can be kind. And, I really want to be close. If you are willing to sit a spell with me so that we can become acquainted, I will be your best friend. I really enjoy a nice ear scratch and being talked to in nice, soothing tones. I enjoy the company of other dogs! I would just love another dog to play with. And, I am very good with cats!! I try to be respectful of cats and their space, if they let me know they don't want me around, I'm happy to oblige. I am approved for homes with children over the age of 12. Please take the time to get to know me today. I may be the perfect addition to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Harrisonburg Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
