My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SOON ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION**
My name is Elvis I was found as a stray and brought to a gas kill pound where they held me for 5 days in hopes of my family finding me but no one came looking for me so some very lovely volunteers contacted CAA Rescue and asked them to urgently get me out of the pound, see July 1st is really hard for many animals as they get abandoned by their families so the space fills up quickly in the pounds and they are forced to kill to make room for more doggies being abandoned. The CAA volunteers worked quickly and within a matter of hours I was out of the pound and on route to my foster home.
My foster family gave me the name Elvis because of my turned up lip on one side, foster mummy says I am such a goofy boy she is always laughing at me, I am glad I can make her so happy!
I am a super friendly guy!! I get along with all doggies big and small. There are kitties in my foster home but I just really pass them by and pay no attention to them. I am just a happy little soul with my foster family.
I am figuring out how to let them know I need to do my business, sometimes they are slow at getting up to let me out so I have had an accident and I felt really bad about it but that was one time and I forgive my foster family. They are just learning about me as I am about them
I don’t bark too much but when I do WOW I can be a loud little boy so apartment life might not be best for me because I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. I think my new home should have a securely fenced in back yard just because I can be a little roamer once I put my nose to the ground and I really don’t want to be lost and picked up off the streets by strangers again. CAA volunteer hugged me and smothered me with kisses when she rescued me whispering a promise that I would never ever see the inside of a pound again so I would really like to make sure I am not the one to make her break that promise.
I have not been tested with children yet because there are none in my foster home but I do have a gentle nature so I think I can live in a home with children ages 10 years and up who can respect me for being a living and breathing sweetie with feelings and not a toy to carry around.
I am pretty active so if you like to walk I would love to do that with you.
I am absolutely awesome in the car, I totally love to look out the window and watch the world go by or curl up on the seat next to you while you drive so if you have any trips planned this summer to visit friends and family I can definitely come with you
I do have to visit Animal 911 vet for neuter and micro chip but after that I will be available for adoption
I just really want someone to love me because I have a whole ton of love to devote to one person. If you think you can be my best friend for life considering that I can live for the next 10 to 18 years please email CAARescue@gmail.com and ask them for an application for adoption so that we can meet and see if we are soul mates!
