My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moctezuma is not quite the cat he was when he first arrived at MEOW! MEOW was working on trapping cats at a very large community cat colony when Moctezuma was first noticed. The poor boy was covered in mats and most alarming of all was that he was limping terribly on his back right leg. As luck would have it, Moctezuma took a lot of convincing before he would let MEOW trap him and get him to the vets.

Turns out that the limp was due to an old fracture that had healed poorly, leaving Moctezuma in constant pain. After a trip to an expert, it was determined that removal of most of the leg was in Moctezuma's best interest. We are pleased to report that Moctezuma has never been happier. He can get around like never before, is pain free and can finally enjoy himself.

This happy cat is ready to meet his forever family.

MEOW Foundation is a registered charity and humane society with a no-kill mandate. We facilitate the adoption of the stray and abandoned cats that we rescue into new loving, permanent homes. We do our best to ensure that our cats will be matched to the best possible homes based on their personality, history, habits, and individual needs. MEOW has adopted 5800 cats into loving homes since 2000. Visit MEOW Foundation's website or call us at 403.230.6033 to learn more about adopting and our life saving programs
