My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hot diggity dog it's Dallas! He's a 2 year old Boxer/Lab mix that was rescued from the Lorain County Dog Kennel. His history is not known. Since his arrival Dallas has been a super friendly fellow. He barks a lot in his cage but that's so someone notices him. Once he's out he's a lover and quiet. Dallas is pretty good on a leash too. He will be much better at everything once he returns from training.

On July 15, 2014, Dallas was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Dallas is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

If you put in an adoption application on a prison dog and find another dog before they return, please inform Friendship.
