Cherry's Story...
Cherry came to the shelter as a stray with a Cherry eye. It has since been fixed and she has never looked better! She is now in a foster home with Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren.

Cherry is a very energetic 7 month old German Shepherd mix. She seems to be mixed with a smaller breed because she is on the smaller side and has beautiful coloring. She was rescued from the Hazel Park shelter and is looking for a family to call her own.

If you would like to arrange a meet and greet, please complete our online adoption evaluation form. You'll be glad you did!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherry, a Hazel Park Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Hazel Park, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hazel Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazel Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazel Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazel Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
