If you are looking for an easy, loveable, adorable and nearly perfect "pup" then Laverne is your lady! She is over 5 years old but we don't consider her a senior as she is still so lively and happy and playful that wouldn't fit for sure! This hound girl was probably dumped at the high kill shelter in the north Georgia mountains or dumped in the woods after her crappy first owners were done with her for her baby making abilities. She's had a few litters, but now will be very happy to just hang out at your house will friends and family and not any of her "kids" to take care! Laverne loves her daily walks, anything outdoors and she loves attention from you! She is calm and quiet (for a hound) and she will love to snuggle right next to you on her new pet bed. This is a girl who has not had much attention or affection previously from humans...but you'd never know it the way she looks at you with love and laps up her new found freedom. Laverne weighs about 58lbs and is spayed, micro-chipped and vaccinated. She loves to hang out with her doggie friends in foster and to follow you everywhere. She could really get used to daily walks around the neighborhood and visits to friend’s homes. While everyone tells her how pretty she is! She deserves your attention and has earned her "place in the sun" after the work she put in for her first GA people. Laverne ignores the kitties, horses and pig at fosters Tracy's house and is perfectly fine in her crate and the house.
