Poppy's Story...
Poppy was rescued from the pound after her time had expired. She had been dumped in a dumpster and left for dead. She is the sweetest thing on the planet and very funny -- really entertaining. She came not knowing what a leash was and not house-trained… Now, she is the best walking dog, right by your side and totally house-trained. She is also crate-trained and sleeps in her crate every night very comfortably -- no crying or barking -- complete silence every night. The door to her crate is always left open as she likes to go in there on her own during the day to take her naps. Also does well in her crate on long road trips. Enjoys walking and hiking. She appears shy at first, but don't let that fool you, she is very curious and loves life. Can also entertain herself with her chew toys and squeaky toys, and loves to play with other dogs and humans. If she ever gets outside or off the leash, she will never run or bolt, she stays right by your side. She has a friend named Tika and it would be nice to keep them together, but not necessary as they did not come together and do well on their own or with other dogs. Poppy is a complete lover -- the perfect family pet that deserves the love in return that she continuously gives out.

[Poppy is about 2 years old and weighs 10 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Marina del Rey Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
