My story

Hello, my name is Larkin but maybe it should be Precious Love, for, as you see,I wear my "heart on my sleeve" as my only body spot is shaped like a heart!

I was found as a stray and put in a high kill shelter until the BTRSC made me an honorary Boston and got me out! The shelter said I am a Jack Russell mix, but the rescue thinks I am a Boston mix too--so maybe Boston/Jack Russell? Whatever I am,I am so very sweet. I am about 2 1/2 years old and weigh a whopping 13 lb!

I now live with my foster family who love me very much! I'm a little shy still but I'm coming along. I learned to use the doggy door and am house-trained already! I love to sleep beside you and give sweet kisses! If you stop stroking me, I will use my paw or nose to urge your hand to start again! I love toys and love my chewies! If you're looking for a compact, short-legged baby to snuggle with, I'm your girl! And don't forget about my very cute heart on my sleeve!

I have had all my vaccines, been spayed, have a microchip, but I also have tested positive for heartworms.:( But the rescue has me on the slow-kill heartowrm treatment which just involves giving me pills. They supply those pills as part of my adoption! Please call Susie at 803-279-8069 for more details on this treatment. I will be rid of the heartowrms in 12-15 months.
