Frito's Story...
Hi my name is Frito,

I am still a very young guy so there is not much of a story to tell. A nice lady saw me one day close to the side of a very busy road about to wander into traffic and rescued me. I am so small still that at first she thought I was a Frito snack bag, hence my new name, Frito. She took me in, fed me, got me vetted, and cleaned up- it can be pretty dirty on the streets. I am pretty easy going, have a calm and friendly demeanor. I am looking for my new forever family and cannot wait to me you. Please come and meet me during weekend adoption hours.

Love,
Frito

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frito, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
