OWEN's Story...
Owen is a 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix. For the past two and a half years he has lived with a very nice family who loved him very much, but that family also has a number of foster children and a very active household that did not suit Owen's personality. Too much commotion made Owen nervous and he has been placed in a quieter foster home with 2 children that he adores. Owen is incredibly beautiful, elegant, sweet and gentle. He loves people but he can be shy initially. He seems to trust woman more than men at first meeting, but when shown a little kindness he will snuggle on the sofa with anyone. Owen enjoys daily walks in the neighborhood and after the walk, he likes the sofa. He is essentially a home body but the Hound in him can make him wander, so a fenced yard would be ideal. Please let us know if you would like to add this beautiful boy to your family. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OWEN, a Salem Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Salem, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
