Joy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Joy's Story...
Joy is a wonderful middle aged Boxer. She is a spayed female dog and appears to be housebroken. She is very loving and affectionate.

Although she does well with other animals including cats and dogs she is most fond of humans. She particularly likes women. She rides very well in the car and minds well off leash. She is happy and gregarious. She would do best with someone who is retired or works from home.

Joy came into an open admission shelter and weighed only 33 lbs and had mammary tumors and heartworm disease. She has had her heartworm disease treated and her mammary tumors removed. She currently weighs 48 lbs. She has had 4 months of care and love in our organization but is now ready for her own home with a loving human or humans.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joy, a Brighton Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Brighton, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Brighton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brighton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brighton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brighton paves the way for another one to be saved.
