Larry's Story...
AVAILABLE 06-26-14 Two years ago when Larry was abandoned by his original owner, he was "adopted" by a good Samaritan who had him neutered and vaccinated. Now Larry is at the Shelter with hopes that he once again will be adopted by someone who will love and care for him FOREVER. Larry is not only handsome, he is also quite friendly. When his cage door is opened, he comes to the front to be petted. We're not sure about his age, but probably not much more than 2yrs. old. When you come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City, be sure to meet Larry, ask to take him out of the cage, hold and pet him. Warning - you'll probably fall in love and want to make him yours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Larry, a Elizabeth City Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
