Facts about Bugsy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 6400958-Cow-C-Bugsy
  • Hair: Short

Bugsy was found after he was mildly injured by a dog. He was skinny and had obviously been fending for himself for quite a while. Once he was rescued, Bugsy blossomed into a healthy and loving little guy. He's a beautiful and sweet cat who loves attention from his human. He gets along well with both cats and dogs, but is a human oriented fella all the way. When he looks up with you with those big eyes, you fall in love with him all over again! Think Puss n' Boots in Shrek.

Bugsy is not only loving and affectionate, but he's very well behaved. He never went thru the terrible teens when most cats become pretty destructive. He's just interested in being near his human and loved on periodically. It's hard to believe that Bugsy is over a year old now and still in foster care. As much as his foster mom loves him, she knows he deserves a home of his own where he can get all the attention he deserves and craves without having to compete with all the foster siblings he has now.

Bugsy has been raised in a home with small dogs and loves playing with them. He gets along with most of the other cats in the home and just avoids the ones he doesn't. He's a lover, not a fighter!

Bugsy has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is up to date on his vaccinations. If you'd like more information about this sweet, loving boy please call 662-342-9448, email: info@desotoanimalrescue.org or submit a pre-adoption application here: http://desotoanimalrescue.org/cat-adoption-application.html. Our adoption fee for cats & kittens is $75.

About Desoto Animal Rescue Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of unwanted, abandoned, and abused pets, giving them a second chance at a loving forever home. All animals taken in receive necessary medical care, vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are not a shelter with a facility where you can visit our pets. All rescued pets live in our own homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until they find their ideal adoptive family. We carefully screen prospective homes and require all applicants to go through an adoption application process.

We are not affiliated with the Desoto County Animal Shelter or any governmental agency. We do not receive any taxpayer funds. We operate solely on donations and the revenue we generate from fundraising events. 100% of our incoming funds go directly towards the care of our animals and to pay our vet bills. All other expenses are paid for by our own volunteers.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

We've made it very easy for you to donate one time, set up a recurring payment/sponsorship or do a tribute for someone. Everything is on our website here: info@desotoanimalrescue.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please see our website for the locations and times of our Adoption Events. We occasionally have special events which we're unable to post on all sites.

Our Adoption Process...

All pets are up-to-date on routine vaccinations and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All dogs are tested heartworm negative and all cats are tested feline aids/feline leukemia negative. We require a pre-adoption application and a home visit. To help cover our veterinary costs, we ask for a $125 adoption donation for dogs and puppies and a $75 adoption donation for cats and kittens.
