Bangor's Story...
Bangor is such a beautiful little baby! We rescued him and his mom and four brothers when one of the brothers went through someone's fan belt. We rushed that baby to the vet, but couldn't forget about the rest of the kitty family... living as strays ... out of trash cans. It took a couple days to befriend them, but we manged to get them all in one evening, without the use of a trap! They are all so sweet! They have been living with us for two weeks now. Bangor us the most like his dad... who was a Maine coon. He is furry and so playful! he growls over his food even when no one is around. He still hasn't figured out there is enough food for everyone here! He is such a good boy and uses the litter box like a champ! He will be starting his shots next week, and has not been neutered yet. We wait till our boys are 6+ months to get fixed because any sooner can cause urinary tract blockage as they get older. Because of this, his adoption fee is a refundable deposit, that will be refunded upon proof of his neutering within 6 months:)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bangor, a Ocala Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Ocala, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Ocala.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocala already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocala breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocala paves the way for another one to be saved.
