Colt's Story...
Hi, I'm Colt, I got my name from my fosters 5 year old grandson, Colton, he named me after himself because I am his favorite and I love on him constantly. My brother Tux and my sisters, Scarlett and Jewel were rescued at 10 days old when we were taken to animal control because our mom was hit by a car. We arrived there at the very end of the day and St Francis volunteers saved us. We were so tiny that we had to be bottle fed and so we are super sweet and loving. I get along great with dogs, cats, and children. I would love it if I could be adopted with my brother Tux as we love to play together. Are you looking fo two sweet boys to add to your family? Then come meet us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colt, a Tampa American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
