Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Luke is truly one of the best bully boys you will ever find! Rescued out of high kill Murray County, this adorable lab-staffy mix is sweet and gentle and just a super fun boy to be around! He is slightly funny looking (!) in that he is long like a lab, hair and tail very labby too and crappy first owners used scissors to crop his ears to look tough. This boy couldn’t be mean if he tried. Luke rides great in the car, is perfectly in his crate and enjoys hanging out with you! He'll be super happy doing anything you want to do! Luke is easy going around farm animals (though not sure about kitties) and kids and is happy to play or just hang out with other doggie friends. Luke weighs about 61 lbs and is two years old. He's been stuck in boarding for nearly a year after his 1st rescue person could not move him along due to a family illness. The RAIN girls have stepped in and are helping to find great hopes for all these long term boarding dogs ...a job we take very seriously. Luke has been evaluated by our trainer Josh Donahue in Atlanta and Josh thinks he is great, a big thumbs up from josh. He was calm but playful with Josh's other dogs. Especially since he has had little interaction in the past year. Luke has been fine around kids as well as chickens and pigs, and horses. He knows his basic commands, walks great on a leash and is crate trained and house trained. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He will love your long walks or hikes and would also be happy with a nap in the sun! He swam well in the pool and wasn’t in a big hurry to get out! Come meet Mr. Luke Saturday, July 19th at the Mill Creek Festival. This cutie boy can't make heads turn with his ability to listen to you and be the great dog that he is expected to not be! Luke's adoption fee is $400 and for any questions write Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com or just fill out your application today at www.raincityrescue.com. You just gotta meet this cool dude!
