Gilligan's Story...
Gilligan is THE sweetest most shy 7 month old little boy one could ever meet! He’s had a bit of a rough start, therefore it takes him extra to adjust to his new surroundings. He’s quite playful once he feels safe, gets on very well with our 5yr old Rhodesian, and in only a few days is already learning his basic sit and stay commands, does well walking on a lead, is working on using a dog door and going in a designated area, and he hasn’t made one potty mistake in his crate nor in the house. He’s eager to please and a quick study! Because of his shy nature, he’s best suited in a home free of small children. If he’s treated roughly before he can settle in, he might get a bit nippy and learn to run and hid. He needs patient and calm parents. Contact Jessica (702)523-1569 to meet him. There is an adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gilligan, a Las Vegas Border Collie/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Basset Hound for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Border Collie/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Basset Hound breeders who help with Border Collie/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
