Romeo thought he had hit the jackpot when he was adopted as a young lad. Sadly, 3 years later he was returned to the pound, but its staff and volunteers could not find any fault on his part. Since the pound was over-crowded, and as an "owner-return," he would be one of the first to be killed, but Forte was just in time to save this sweet, gentle boy. Whew! What a waste of a precious life it would have been!? Romeo has good manners, walks well on the leash and knows basic commands such as come and sit. Romeo with his big bright eyes is shy (Can you blame him? — He doesn't know if he's coming or going yet, after dumped by his family and sat on death row!) at first but once he feels safe, he will warm up and showers you with kisses! This gentle soul will blossom and be a loyal companion to a lucky person/family only if given a chance!
