Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max: Young and Loyal. Max is a stunning young male who has a very level temperament of a dog who naturally looks for cues from his humans and is super responsive to commands. He is young and energetic on his walks and will need some work on his leash skills but when placed in the play-yard, he usually chooses to stay near us and does not run wild, so we feel he probably has not been walked very much in his life but we are already working with him and he is making progress everyday!
We have him play and interact with many of our friendly female dogs and he has shown to be friendly and curious to all of them. He did come in with a canine brother so we think Max can be compatible with another dog without issue and we would schedule a meet and greet to ensure it is a proper match.
He has zero mouthy behavior, nor does he jump up, nor does he show any guarding behavior at all so we do feel Max could live in a family with children. He has been barking in his kennel lately because he is starting to get a little stir-crazy but is happy as a puppy when you take him out, giving perfect eye-contact loose and happy body and just a fantastic personality. One of our favorite volunteers, an older gentleman, has already called Max his favorite dog who he says behaves like one of his dogs which is a testament to the fantastic potential this handsome dog has!!!
Please come and meet him, spend some time in the yard with him, and do it fast as we can't imagine a dog this cool is going to live very long at the shelter…...
