Devin's Story...
Meet Devin! He is a 5 year old rat terrier and weighs around 20 lbs. and has low to moderate energy. He is SUCH a sweet boy and would be a fabulous companion dog or a family pet. He gets along with other dogs and cats but he would be just as happy as an only pet as long as he has plenty of time with his human. :). He loves to snuggle and loves to give and receive affection. He loves to go for walks and he walks great on a leash. He is crate trained and he does very well in the bath. We would love to tell you more about this handsome boy. You can fill out an application here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. He is located in Huntsville, AL. He is neutered, current on Vaccinations, microchipped, and is current on Heartworm, flea, and parasite preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Devin, a Huntsville Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
