My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Dukes! A fun and loving 1 year old guy with a healing leg that was broken accidentally. My previous owner, was young like me (14!years old), and accidentally closed the door on my leg. It broke in 2 spots and required a metal plate!
I am so grateful to Labs and Friends.org for rescuing me from North Central Shelter after sitting in the medical room for 1 month untreated.
These folks invested in my road to recovery and now I just need to find an amazing family to invest in me for life.
I'm dog, kid, cat, and people friendly. I'm a spunky lover and can't wait to have a family of my own.
I will do best in a home where I can get lots of love and attention. I can be a bit needy but I know once I am 100% better and have a good home with consistency and boundaries and can really go on walks and hikes--- I will be a cool dude.

I am playful, snuggly, house trained ( I've been using pee pads cuz I can't get my cast wet) & could learn some basic commands. I'm told I'm really smart so just need you to show me what you want.
