Chevy's Story...
Chevy is a friendly boy who came to our shelter in June of 2014 from Pike County Animal Control. He can be a bit timid at times, especially around men. He needs a slow introduction to new people to feel safe. Chevy would do best in a quieter home with no small children. He was born in 2011 and weighs 31 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chevy, a Naperville Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
