My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi... I know everyone could use a Buddy... lucky for you, I'm here! I ended up with the nice folks at Cape Ann Animal Aid when my people moved. I know... pretty crummy, but my faith in the human race was restored by the nice staff at the Cape Ann Animal Aid who have taken me in and gave me a nice fluffy bed that keeps me toasty warm. So, a little more about me. I'm about 8 years old (I lost my day planner when my people moved, so I'm not exactly sure of my birthdate), House trained, and walk well on a leash. I have also lived with cats and I just love relaxing on the couch. I am considered Special Needs because I have not received routine veterinary care in the past and am Lyme and Anaplasmosis positive. What does this mean? It means I have two tick born diseases. I am showing no signs or symptoms but the vets are treating me anyway with some antibiotics just to be on the safe side. Don't let scare you off though... I'm a diamond in the ruff. Because I am an adult rescue CAAA would like to place me in a home with older children. Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.
