Superman's Story...
Superman is a short hair black male kitten. He was estimated to have been born late March 2014. He has 2 brothers, Creamsicle & Patrick, and 1 sister, Petunia. We do not know their story, but 3 of them have broken tails. They all arrived from a caring citizen, who most certainly rescued them.

Superman, who is aptly named because he has 3/4 of a tail and super powers, is a very sweet boy. He has received his first distemper and first leukemia vaccine, been wormed and treated for fleas. His brother Patrick was tested for Feluk/FIV, and we are confident he is negative as well. He is due to receive his next round of kitten vaccines July 2014. He is the shyest of the 4, but loves to play and purr, especially with his brother Creamsicle. Please consider adopting one of his siblings if you are interested in adopting him.

We do not neuter our kittens until they are 6 mos of age, simply because so many people want to declaw. This eliminates their needing 2 surgeries, and going under anesthesia twice. We do require a veterinarian reference, prior to our scheduling an adoption appointment. We want to make sure all our kitties are going to loving and responsible forever homes.

Our adoption fee varies by the level of vet services we have completed, but our starting fee is $75 and ends at $125, which will include all vaccines and neutering.

Please consider adopting a sibling, we will make adoption fee adjustments.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Superman, a Ashland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
