My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Porthos! He's a 2 year old Yellow Lab mix that arrived from another facility. He's hoping someone at Friendship notices what a great dog he is and adopts him. Porthos has been a friendly and active fellow since his arrival. He's a social boy with an easy going attitude. The history of Porthos is not known but he's hoping to start a brand new wonderful future once he's back from his training.

On July 15, 2014, Porthos was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Porthos is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

If you put in an adoption application on a prison dog and find another dog before they return, please inform Friendship.
