Jerry: 1 yr 2 mth old chocolate male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 8", 11 lb. Owner give-up. IMPS Ohio newest intake Jerry a 1 yr 2 mnth all natural boy. We got a call today that owner could not get his dog vetted he had been adopted as a 10 mnth old to a disabled elderly gentleman by a shelter. Jerry has gotten out a couple times, but this last time either hit by a car or got stuck in something leaving several open sores and muscle pain. We offered to pay for vet visit but the owner said he could not afford and just could not keep up with Jerry. He also was told by the shelter that owner give ups could be euthanised first. so here he is with us. He needs socialized with other doggies or a home of his own. He is very scared right now, but wants love and attention. He likes to snuggle, at least when we came home from the Vet, he plopped himself on my tummy and took a nice long nap. A little barkey, and excitable, he would benefit from some training, and nice long walks or runs, after he convaleces and gets all better. Please fill out an adoption application at and let his foster mom know you are interested in giving Jerry another chance for a home that can take care of him. Note: Jerry is located in Columbus, OH - and we will not fly this boy. IMPS Tag: 27233 ADD DATE: 07/11/14If you wish to adopt, please fill out our IMPS Min Pin Adoption Application If you have previously submitted an Application form, there is no need to re-apply. For more details, contact Crystal:

About IMPS-Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. - OH region

About Our Rescue Group...

Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. (IMPS) was formed in July of 1998 with the adoption of Lister through the Miniature Pinscher e-mail group at For information on the Miniature Pinscher e-mail list, please visit . The IMPS mission is to improve the lives of homeless and abandoned Miniature Pinschers through rescue and the love and respect that comes with humane care, compassion and kindness. IMPS attempts to assist Miniature Pinschers in need by providing foster care, transport, adoptive homes, veterinary care, and other services and information for the well-being of Miniature Pinschers. All Miniature Pinschers placed through IMPS will be spayed or neutered prior to placement, and have been thoroughly evaluated by a breed representative for temperament and training needs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our rescued min pins are now living in loving foster homes throughout the country and Canada. To start the process please fill out an IMPS Potential Home Application. . The success of IMPS is only possible with the volunteers who have agreed to help with the rescue and placement of miniature pinschers. Assistance from our team of volunteers includes fostering, assistance with owner give-ups & home checks, local shelter checks, and transport & placement of min pins to approved homes. IMPS is in need of volunteers in all of the above described areas. To volunteer, please fill out the IMPS Potential Home Application.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must pass a veterinary reference check and home visit. IMPS requires reimbursement of all necessary veterinary costs (eg. the cost of the spay/neuter, microchipping, and any veterinary care required prior to placement), and in some instances, travel costs. A donation to the organization is requested with each adoption so that we may continue to care for chronically ill and/or severely injured foster dogs. In all cases, any expenses related to the adoption will be agreed upon prior to placement. While the Adoption expenses may be negotiable for some dogs, please remember that the care and upkeep of a dog, even the "King of Toys", requires some financial outlay, and if a small placement expense is beyond your means, you may wish to consider a pet which does not require as much care as the Miniature Pinscher.
