My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oliver is a 3 year old Yorkie that's had a very hard life. He lived a crate around the clock for the first couple of years of his life. He was placed with our rescue and then a home was found. He was doing wonderful and then the owner had a life style change and he was given up after 7 months of being there. We immediately took Oliver back because we want the best for him. He has done very very well in a matter of a day coming back to HSR. He is very sweet and friendly - loves kids and loves having another dog or dogs as a play mate. He didn't have another dog in his previous home and we now feel he really needs ones. He just adores playing with them and it seems to be much more fulfilling to him to have a buddy. Oliver is potty trained for the most part, but he does dribble in the house slightly when he gets up from sleeping (bed and nap time). It's a very easy fix. He is currently only using a belly band at night, and he does go in it over night. That's probably due to the face the first year of his life he was rarely let out of his crate. He is doing just wonderful though by being taken out often. After getting up from a nap, we put him straight outside to potty. He is doing great having other dogs around to follow their lead as well. Oliver definitely needs a home with a yard, and he would really love a playmate. He is a cuddle bug, but he's also independent and has no problem putting himself to bed when he's tired. Oliver needs a forever home that will be patient with him, and understanding and willing to work with him. We never ever want this boy moved again. He deserves total commitment from this point till the end of time.
