Petunia's Story...
Petunia was found hopping around a neighborhood in Medfield and we hoped she had only hopped out of her exercise pen but now that she has not been claimed she needs a new home. She has become a shelter favorite with her dark blue eyes, long eyelashes & gentle nature. Petunia is a small rabbit who is full grown at three and a half lbs. She would be a gentle pet for children, enjoys the company of everyone she meets & happily shares our critter room with guinea pigs and birds. Please come meet this wonderful spayed bunny.

Rabbits are active, gentle pets that are happiest and healthiest when they have a large clean cage, lots of play time out of their cage, and plenty of fresh hay and veggies daily. All of the Medfield Shelter's bunnies are indoor pets and would not do well outside in a hutch. If you are interested in adopting a rabbit from our shelter, please fill out our adoption application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petunia, a Medfield American was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American for sale in Medfield, or seeking a American from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American breeders who help with American rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
