This is Louie. A super sweet and energetic boy that was left at a vet clinic after being found by some good samaritans. They could not keep him but wanted to save him from the street. He is a handsome boy with beautiful markings and so so soft. Louie has the biggest personality and cutest bark, you will fall in love. He is VERY smart, loves toys, loves playing with other dogs and loves giving lots of kisses. Louie is very affectionate and would make a great new family member, he promises; he has grown up at our shelter - sadly- but adjusts to new things quickly. Give us a call for more details on how you can give this boy his furever home.

About Heart of Texas SPCA

About Our Shelter...

Our History:
Our shelter was established in May of 2000 as a No-kill, 501 (c) (3) non-profit shelter. At that time animals were fostered and adopted out by word of mouth. In November 2001 adoptions were done out of a donated space at a local veterinary clinic, staffed completely by volunteers. We outgrew that space quickly and moved into our own location in 2002. We are now located on IH-10 West in Fair Oaks Ranch, near Boerne, housing only dogs. We have made great improvements threw the years and hope to increase the number of animals rescued, increase adoptions, fundraising events, and reach more of the community. We provide a temporary shelter, rehabilitation and care to homeless and unwanted dogs until responsible, loving homes can be found. As a no-kill shelter, we want to help reduce the number of animals euthanized each year by educating the public on the importance of proper pet care, animal behavior and overpopulation prevention.
