Jackee's Story...
AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area.

I am a little girl that is so cute. I love to sit on the back of your couch and look out the windows. I bark at thunder, and birds, and anything else I can see. I am house trained and like other dogs, but like it by myself too.

I can get a little scared in new situations, but I warm up quickly. I like to play with you and with toys. I am just a little cutie, come and see!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackee, a Richmond Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
