Amy's Story...
Amy here, fun in the sun and dancing sounds good to me! Although, some squeaky toys, a soft bed and walks in the woods sound just as good! I am a sweet little girl with a talent of winning hearts over. Just one look and you will see! I am a gorgeous lady and the folks here aren't sure but they are guessing I am a Jack Russell Terrier mix and about four months old. Meaning that I will be medium size when full grown. I am a playful and active girl who is looking forward to learning new tricks and spending my days by your side. Think I could be the girl you've been looking for? Then stop by today and meet me! Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amy, a Gloucester Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
