My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Addilyn (Addie for short). I am a very sweet beagle/basset mix who came to my foster home with my friend Caitlyn. Foster mom says I have two speeds: slow and sleep. You see I am the quintessential couch potato. I LOVE to sleep and take my time doing EVERYTHING! Foster mom thinks I am like this because I spent my entire life (before Midwest BREW rescued me) living outside in a wire pen! So now, I am learning about things like going potty outside (doing pretty good if I might say so myself!) and that there are nice comfy places inside the house like the couch next to you and the pad in my crate. So, now that I know how great living inside is, I am very content to just be comfy and sleep or just get some lovin' from the humans around me.
Want someone to take walks with outside? Well, that's not me (but it might be my friend Caitlyn so check her out too!). I would much rather sleep on the couch or a dog bed. Oh, and I need to confess: I do snore once I am sound asleep. Foster mom says it's so loud, sometimes it wakes her up during the night.
I am one of those beagles that can mesmerize you just by looking into your eyes. I just want to be loved and I intend to make up for all the love I've missed before I came to Midwest BREW. So, if you're looking for a cuddle bug who just wants to be loved by you and sleep next to you, then I am your girl!

Note from Foster Mom: Addie and Cait have come a long way since I started to foster them. Cait was the first one to catch on to inside living and it took Addie longer, but once she did, she has really taken to it! She was very, very shy and nervous for the first couple of weeks and it took a while for her to start to feel secure. Once she found out that it was OK to be on the couch, she loves being up there now (as you can see by the picture). They also had never seen stairs before and it only took Cait a couple of days to figure it out. It took Addie about a week or so and she slowly got the hang of it. She still goes up and down VERY slowly but she does everything slowly (except eating of course) so I am not surprised.
She is an absolute doll baby who wants nothing more than two meals a day, a soft comfy place to sleep and attention from people who love her.
