My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Caitlyn (Cait for short). I am a very sweet beagle/basset mix who came to my foster home with my friend Addilyn. Foster mom says I am the more outgoing and independent one of the two of us. Foster mom thinks I am like this because I spent my entire life (before Midwest BREW rescued me) living outside in a wire pen and am loving my new freedom!
So now, I am learning about things like going potty outside (doing pretty good if I might say so myself!) and that there are nice comfy places inside the house like the couch next to you and the pad in my crate. However, while Addie wants to just hang out inside and sleep, I am just the opposite. So, now that I know how great living inside is, I am very content do that at nighttime but when foster mom is home, I prefer to be outside in the yard.
Want someone to take walks with outside? Well, then, I'm your girl! Don't get me wrong, living inside is wonderful but I really like being able to just hang out in the yard too! I enjoy walking on a leash and would love to explore everything with someone special. Is that you?

Note from Foster Mom: Addie and Cait have come a long way since I started to foster them. Cait was the first one to catch on to inside living and it took Addie longer. I really think Cait helped Addie feel secure and she lead the way so that Addie would know that it was OK to do things like potty outside and sleep on the couch. They also had never seen stairs before and it only took Cait a couple of days to figure it out. She is not as needy as Addie, but she is still also a doll baby with quite a bit of personality that is all her own.
