Dave's Story...
Dave (orange) & Donavan (brown) are brothers that were rescued from an animal hoarder's home. They are both super friendly and confident with the foster's other cats and medium size dog. Both love eating and playing with popcorn! Both have a beautiful version of the tabby coat sometimes called "marbled". They like playing with older kids, but sometimes get a bit too excited while wrestling and get mouthy. The foster mom is working on it, and they are improving, but kids under 5 years old are probably not a good idea. If you are interested in adopting Dave, call the foster Karen R at 419-944-4251.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dave, a Toledo Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
