Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HUGO is a 1 1/2 year old black neutered male who weighs 67 pounds. He's a big boy who is super loving. He can be quite energetic and playful, since he's a young Lab. Exercise will be good for him. Hugo is pretty calm once he gets his energy worked off. He will sit at the feet of his handler as well as roll on his back for belly rubs. Hugo loves to play with toys and will sit and wait for them. He loves fetching, retrieving, and water. Hugo seems to know the sit command, and he has been learning other commands with treats. The shelter thinks training should be easy for him. Hugo has been out in the yard areas at the shelter and has been fine with other dogs (both male and female), although he seems to prefer people with toys! He's approved for kids aged 10+.
Update (7/19): Hugo is quite content in his foster home and is settling in nicely. He has shown himself to know many commands and even went into the kennel last night with just the word "kennel." Hugo is playing a little more with the resident dogs and is having a blast with them, and when he's done playing he settles down nicely. He is amazing!!!
Update (7/15): Hugo loves the outside play time. He does calm down well after exercise. He's also very good in the house. He pulls on the leash, but will do well with an Easy Walk harness. He did well meeting the two resident dogs and enjoys his people.
Update (7/17): Hugo is such a good boy. He sits and stays, gives his paw, and knows leave it. He has the appetite of a horse but has manners and takes cookies very gently. He is house broken and doesn't love the crate but tolerates it and settles down once in it. Hugo is also very gentle and sweet toward the resident (much smaller!) dog. He has a high prey instinct to chase, so cats are probably not a good thing for him, but once he is told "no" or leave it, he listens extremely well and stops chasing. Otherwise, Hugo is a big couch potato once he's had his play-time, and he loves wagging his tail non-stop. Such a gentleman!!!
