My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Skipper

Sex: Male

Breed: Siberian Husky

Age: Young

Date of birth: 12/03/2012

Level of blindness: Blind in left eye only.

Cause of eye issues: Possible trauma.

Health issues: Skipper is healthy other than his left eye. He does have an overbite (the top jaw is longer than the bottom jaw) but this causes no problems for him. It is believed to be genetic. This is called a parrot bite. It gives Skipper character :-)

Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Weight: 45 pounds

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with cats: Other (unknown but probably yes)

Good with kids: Yes

Currently being fostered in: Hanover, PA

*BDRA will transport the dog a reasonable distance, to an approved adopter, at no extra cost, even if out of state.

Information:

Skipper is a very sweet, timid Husky that just loves to play with other dogs. He would do best in a home that has other dogs for him to play with and with an active owner that can take him for walks and runs. He is good on a leash and housebroken. He is a Husky, therefore can be an escape artist. He does not like being in a crate, separated from others. He has been free in his foster home and has not done anything destructive. Skipper is blind in only the left eye, therefore his depth perception is off and he may take time with getting in or out of vehicles. Whoever adopts Skipper will be getting a very sweet boy!
